COVER & SPREAD
Cover & Spread revisited seven architectural projects that were conceived at the height of Canadian Modernism. Press coverage and public opinion about these projects vary. However, they are all linked by a distinct enthusiasm for a future with new technologies and modern lifestyles. This exhibition recreated these impulses through archival photographs and original editorials from the Canadian Architect Magazine Image Collection.
The display of these historical artefacts was layered with commentary on the ongoing relevance of these projects by contemporary architects and historians.
